Gorgeous gorgeous girls go to Dubai & buy saffron 😌Saffron is the worlds most expensive spice and can cost up to $10k per kilo!! It takes over 150 flowers to produce 1g of Saffron and is extremely labour intensive hence the hefty price pointBelieved to have originated in Greece or Iran it was used to enhance libido, boost mood, and improve memory.Apparently eating and smelling saffron appears to help treat PMS symptoms, such as irritability, headaches, cravings, pain, and anxiety 👀I've never seen as much saffron in one place as I did whilst at the Dubai Spice Souk 😍 be careful though as fake saffron is very very real! Much of what is sold in the Souk is known to be both poor quality and/or fake. Be prepared to haggle to get the best price (not too cheap though as this is an indicator that it is probably fake or poor quality!) and look out for the following1. Real saffron is said to have a sweet smell but bitter taste
2. Real saffron threads are shaped like trumpets, bulging at the tip
3. When dropped into water the real saffron threads will retain their red colour but slowly dye the water yellow.

A few starters and a couple cocktails at @palmbeachmayfairBeautiful service, the food for the most part was very good (chicken Caesar was underwhelming but the prawns & naan bread were banging!) and I enjoyed my cocktail. I liked the duality of the menu; South Asian/ Indian with European classics.I'm enjoying using Instagram like Pinterest. Dubai Spice Souk Photo Dump ❤️Dubai is one of those places that are nice, but personally I find it quite pretentious and lacking in authenticity and culture. However, in my recent trip I LOVED visiting old Dubai, walking around the spice souk & brought back a few things for my spice cupboard that I've been loving 🥰I've been to Dubai twice and like with most things I would like to do it at least once more to spend more time off the beaten track to get a real feel for what else the city has to offer#dubailife #dubai #olddubai #spicesouk #dubaispicesouk
